Kenneth L. Wright, age 84, of Underwood, Iowa, formerly of Council Bluffs, passed away at his home on April 20, 2019.

Ken was born May 1, 1934 in Loveland, Iowa to the late James E. and Hazel E. (Belt) Wright. He graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1952 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Ken married Patricia Behm on June 14, 1958 in Missouri Valley. They were blessed with nine children. Ken was a utility man for Western Electric for 40 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Council Bluffs and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Dan Hansen; 4 brothers and 1 sister.

Ken is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia Wright of Underwood; sons, Steve (Peggy) Wright of Mason City, Iowa, Dan (Monica) Wright of Underwood, Mike (Tara) Wright of Bennington, Nebraska, Kevin (Juanita) Wright of Mountain Home, Idaho, Tim (Marsha) Wright of Council Bluffs; daughters, Susan Hansen of Athens, Georgia, Sandra (Mike) Hasbrouck, Wanda (Craig) Fry, Carol (Trevor) Carritt all of Council Bluffs; 27 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Bertelsen of Council Bluffs; brothers, Lester (Betty) Wright of Enid, Oklahoma, Robert Wright of Missouri Valley; sister-in-law, Leta Wright of Council Bluffs; many nieces and nephews.

Rosary: 6:00 P.M., St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4 Valley View Drive, Council Bluffs, IA 51503,
Visitation: Following the Rosary,with the family until 8:00 P.M.

Services: 1:00 AM, St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 4 Valley View Drive , Council Bluffs, IA 51503, with a luncheon following in the parish hall.

Interment: Private family inurnment will be held later that day in Grange Cemetery, Honey Creek, Iowa.
