Beth M. Welte

Welte, Beth M.

17 Jul 1926 - 6 May 2018

Beth M Ingram was born July 17, 1926, on a farm near Louisville, Nebraska, to Edward Adam and Mabel Clarice (Ward) Ingram. Beth entered into rest Sunday, May 6, 2018, at the Louisville Care center, Louisville, Nebraska, at the age of 91 years, 9 months, and 19 days.

Beth married Ralph Morris Welte, Jr., on November 30, 1946 in Louisville, Nebraska, and to this union they raised 5 children Ed, Paul, Nancy, Mary and Stanley. She worked as a young girl at the funeral home in Louisville and for Dr. Worthmann in Louisville. Beth also worked at the bomber plant to help the war effort. When she married she stayed at home to raise her five children. She went to work at Western Electric (now Lucent Technologies) after her youngest was in school. Beth took night classes to improve herself and better her position at work becoming a keypunch operator and moved up from there.

After her retirement she created a business called BIMMS, Beth Ingram’s Mad Money. She sold printed T-Shirts, pens and about anything you could put a logo on. She purchased a motor home and she and Ralph spent many weekends in Nebraska fishing. Her hobbies were her children and grandchildren. Many weeks and weekends were spent in the motor home camping and fishing with her grandchildren, great nieces and great nephews. She loved to travel and visited her siblings in other states.

Beth was a friend to all she knew. Always a positive attitude and giving heart. Never hated anyone and would not allow others to say anything bad about another person in her presence. Words to describe Beth are courageous, loving, family oriented, a hard worker and a great cook. Beth belonged to the Glendale Club which was organized in 1922. Her mother Mabel also was a member of this local civic group. Beth is also a life time member of the Pioneers Organization associated with her job and also a civic organization to help those in need. Beth has been a member of the Louisville American Legion Auxiliary for 29 years.

Beth is survived by her children, Ralph Edward (Betty) of Omaha, Paul (Donna), of Cedar Creek, Nancy (Laverne) Olson, Mary (Tim) Garcia, all of Louisville and Stanley (Carroll) of Tekamah, many grandchildren and many more great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Adam and Mabel Clarice (Ward) Ingram, husband Ralph Welte, brothers and sisters Paul, Katherine, Gene and Myrna, grandchildren Eric Welte, Mark Garcia and great granddaughter Sloane Wright.
