Phillip R. Tinsley, 60, of Arlington, NE died Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his home.

He was born September 20, 1952 to Phil Anson and Marleen (James) Meyers in Elkhart, IN. He spent his childhood and attended school in Constantine, MI. He lived in Des Moines, IA until moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1979. He married Dawn Hoy on September 21, 1974 in Ankeny, IA. In 1995, they moved to Arlington. He worked for Connectivity Solutions before retiring in 2011. He was a gifted musician and played the guitar and piano. He was a member of the Arlington Community Church in Arlington.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn of Arlington; father, Phil Anson of Phoenix, AZ; mother, Marleen Meyers of Three Rivers, MI; brothers Jim and wife Deb Tinsley of Constantine, MI, Craig and wife Julie Tinsley of Peoria, AZ; sisters, Melanie and husband Dean Owens of Constantine, MI, Dottie Tinsley of Three Rivers, MI and Kathy and husband, Tony Tootle of Prescott Valley, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his stepmother, Wanda Tinsley.

Visitation: 6:00 PM-8:00 PM on Monday at the Arlington Community Church in Arlington.

Services: 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at the Arlington Community Church in Arlington

Interment: Dexter, IA

Memorials: Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society for lung cancer
