James Harold Stanfield, loving father, and grandfather, passed away on Nov. 10, 2017 at home in Omaha, NE. He was born on April 2, 1944 in Omaha, Nebraska. James was a graduate of Tech High School in Omaha and served in the U.S. ARMY artillery from 1965 to 1967. James made his livelihood working for Western Electric at their Omaha Works Division as a cable inspector and quality assurance technician, and later with Lucent Technologies and AVAYA, retiring with 41 years of dedicated service.

James is survived by his sons, Joshua Stanfield with wife Saghi Soheili of Moreno Valley and Mica Stanfield with wife Stacy Burris-Stanfield of Papillion; his two grandchildren: Jackson Burris-Stanfield and Griffin Burris-Stanfield; as well as niece Jeanne Cool of Omaha and David Stanfield of Omaha.

James was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Marguerite Stanfield-Spanswick and Harry Spanswick; and his brother Charles Stanfield.

Services: Private family service.

Internment: Private burial in Omaha National Cemetery.


James worked in QA (quality assurance). He retired from the works, 31 Jan 2004 with forty-one years of service.
