Willis (Bill) Schleusener

Willis (Bill) Schleusener of Papillion passed away January 4, 2014 at the Josie Harper Hospice House after a short illness. He was born August 4, 1930 in Rosalie, NE to Edward and Clara (Buchholz) Schleusener.

Bill graduated from Pender High School and the United States Naval Academy and served with the US Air Force. He retired from Western Electric/Lucent. His hobby was playing bridge and he was awarded a Life Master Certificate from the American Contract Bridge League.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Dale, Kenneth, and Milan. Survivors are a brother Dexter (Doyce) Schleusener of Mentor, Ohio; a sister-in-law Twila Schleusener of Goodlettsville, TN a son John Schleusener, and a daughter D'Ann (Mike) Morris, grandson Daniel Morris and granddaughter Samantha Morris all of Lexington Park, MD; many nieces and nephews, and his ex-wife and caregiver Lorraine Stanfield of Papillion.

Bill bequeathed his body to the Deeded Body Program of UNMC for medical education and research.

Services: A private service and burial of cremains will be at a later date at St. Marks Cemetery Pender, NE.



Bill was an engineer at the plant.
