Herb died Wednesday, June 6, he was 74 years of age. He was the son of Evaline and Herbert F. Rhodes.

Survivors include four children, Herbert Jr., Christopher and Irene Rhodes, and Stacey Rhodes-Butler.

Herb managed the AT&T Network Systems Commercial Metals Service, buying and selling commodity futures. He retired from Western Electric - AT&T in 2002 with over thirty years of service.
