Bonnie Dee Rauch

Rauch, Bonnie Dee Shrader was born, March 1, 1926 and died May 10, 2018 at age 92.

She was preceding in death by her husband, Loren Joseph "Barney" Rauch; parents Walter Clark Shrader and Ellen Martha Foster; sisters Margaret "Jean" Ellis and Doris Elaine Johnson.

Bonnie was born on a farm in Surprise, NE where she learned to love nature, the outdoors, and life. You would always find her alongside her dad helping with chores or roaming the pasture picking wildflowers or looking for wild animals to bring home for pets. During her senior year in high school, the family moved to Lincoln, NE where Bonnie graduated from Lincoln High. After graduation, she went to work for Western Electric in Lincoln where she met her future husband, Bonnie's life journey took her from Surprise, NE to Lincoln, to Omaha, to Doniphan, NE, then back to Lincoln where she and her family attended many trapshoots, making many dear friends along the way. Bonnie had a deep affection for flowers, for dancing, for watching her birds and squirrels. She was an avid and dedicated Nebraska girls volleyball fan and loved raising her four daughters. Bonnie also adored watching her grandchildrenand great-grandchildren grow. One of Bonnie's endearing qualities was her sense of humor which she kept to the very end.

Bonnie is survived by her four daughters: Sandra Kaye ( Dr. Stephen G.) Swanson, Vicki Lynn ( Roger V.) Voorhees, Barbara Jean Stanbro and Kathy Sue Treska; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services: A private service will be held for immediate family only.

Memorials: To Tabitha Hospice, 4720 Randolph Street, Lincoln, NE 68510.


Bonnie worked at the Lincoln Works until it closed, and then transferred to the Omaha Works.
