Popham, Melvin Age 91 Melvin Popham, of Rome, GA, born on February 11, 1928 in Cedartown, GA, to the late Dorothy Gilmore and the late Dave Popham, passed away at age 91 on May 14, 2019 in Omaha, NE.

From 1945 to 1966, Melvin served in the Air Force in World War II, the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He also dedicated his career working at Lucent Technologies (formally Western Electric) as a cable installer until he retired in 1993.

Melvin was married to the late Patricia Popham for 66 years. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Cecil Popham and Herman Popham.

Survived by daughters, Linda Juntti (Kerry) and Annette Brake; grandchildren, Austin Brake (Katie), Ashton Brake, Amanda Juntti, Andre Brake, and Airiona Brake; great-grandchildren, Brayden Brake and Emi Brake.

Melvin was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed gardening, reading, and collecting sports cards and coins.
