Richard L. Lloyd, 84 of Lincoln, NE, formerly of Greenwood, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at his home in Lincoln. Richard was born September 18, 1931 in Concordia, KS to Clifford Henry and Lillie May (Spicer) Lloyd. He graduated from Concordia High School in 1950. On July 18, 1954, he was married to Ilene Dochow in Concordia, KS. Richard served his country in the U.S. Air Force in Korea during the Korean War. He worked many years for Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent as a tool and die maker. Richard was a member of the American Legion and VFW.

He is survived by wife of 61 years Ilene Lloyd; children: Gregg (Kathryn) Lloyd of Greenwood and Sheri (Allan) Salber of Warrington, OR; grandchildren: Carrie (Jeff) Salber-Doner, Kevin Lloyd, Joshua Salber, and Ellen Lloyd; great-grandchildren: Trevor Doner and Sarah Doner; sisters: Sharon Riggs of Lincoln and Linda (Bob) Harness of El Lago, TX.

He was preceded in death by parents Clifford and Lillie Lloyd; brothers John and Jerry Lloyd; sister Lorraine Stratton.

Services: Monday, February 15, 2016 at 2:30 P.M., Greenwood United Methodist Church, Greenwood, Nebraska, with military honors by the U.S. Air Force and Ashland American Legion #129.

Interment: Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Greenwood, Nebraska.

Memorials: In care of the family for future designation.


Richard was a tool and die maker at the plant.
