Elmer Raymond Johnson, 72, passed away Feb. 2, 2012, in Las Vegas.

He was born April 14, 1939, in Omaha, Neb., and was a resident of Pahrump for 23 years, having come from Omaha.

Elmer was a tool and die maker for 31 years at AT&T Technologies before he retired and moved to Pahrump in 1989.

He became a Realtor for Hafen & Hafen 500 Realty Co., where he worked for another 18 years.

He enjoyed country music and 50s rock and roll. He played guitar in a band "Off the Wall" and enjoyed bowling, golf, computers and crossword puzzles.

He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He celebrated 35 years of marriage with his loving wife Dolores Johnson, Jan. 1, 2012.

Surviving are his wife Dolores “Dee” Johnson of Pahrump; daughter Vicki (Ron) Frey and son Rodney Johnson, both of Omaha; step-daughters Ginger (Larry) Shenk, Lori (John) Lang and Deborah (Harvey) Bunn, all of Fremont, Neb.; stepson Randy (Diane) Dodd of Pleasant Hill, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Johnson Sr; mother Shirley Thorpe; brother Jerry Johnson; great-granddaughters Kylie and Olivia Bunn and granddaughter-in-law Joyce Bunn.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Feb. 7, at Pahrump Family Mortuary.
