Daniel R. Hayden, 76, of Lincoln, passed away December 28, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. He was born November 9, 1939 to Hoyt & Shirley (Huebner) Hayden in Pacific Junction, IA.

Dan worked as a maintenance machinist for Lucent Technologies for 40 years. After retirement he moved to Lincoln. He enjoyed camping, fishing & boating.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Gayle Hayden.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Marjorie; children, Mindy (Don) Brockmeyer, Gwen (Bryan) Cook; siblings, Deta (John) Kier, Hoyt Hayden; grandchildren, Hannah, Mychaela, Cara, Gemma, Simon & Jonah; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 4-8 P.M., Thursday at Butherus, Maser and Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510. The family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 P.M.

Services: 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 1, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, Lincoln, NE. Pastor Dirk Reek will officiate.

Interment: 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 2, in the Steele Cemetery-Falls City, NE.

Memorials: Suggested to Christ Lutheran Church Music Ministry.


Daniel was a machinist at the plant. He retired with forty years of service.
