Erma passed away peacefully in her sleep on her 78th birthday at her home in Omaha. Mrs. Hammonds was born and raised in Purcell, OK and was the daughter of Coyle Permetter and Henrietta Cook. In addition, Mrs. Hammonds was blessed with a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends who will all feel the emptiness her passing has caused.

She was preceded in death by mother and father, step-mother Rosa Permetter, along with a son, Enish Gills III “Papa”, and daughter, Mary Ellen Gills and a brother Danny Permetter.
