Fenske, Richard L. 'Tyke'

Richard proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1955-1959. He
worked at Lucent Technology for 42 years, retiring in 2002. Preceding him in
death were his parents, David E. and Florence (Jensen) Fenske, Sr.; son,
Richard Fenske, Jr. in 1960 and brother, Dave Fenske, Jr. in 1997. Survivor
include his wife of 58 years, Diane (Smith) Fenske, Co. Bluffs; daughter,
Denise (Robert) Lewis, Omaha; special grandsons, Caleb and Riley
Grosse-Rhode and Gavin Rice; brother, Steve (DeeDee) McCormick, Council
Bluffs; nephews, Brian and Matthew McCormick, Chris Talcott and family;
niece, Kim (Mike) Fitchet; grandniece, Taylor Fitchet; grandnephew, Dylan
Fitchet.
Visitation: Wednesday, 6-8pm at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park
Chapel.
Services: Graveside service and burial, Thursday, 2:30pm in Ridgewood
Cemetery. Full military honors will be tendered by the American Legion.
Family and friends to meet at the funeral home on Thursday at 2pm for the
procession to the cemetery.
Interment: Ridgewood Cemetery
A celebration of life gathereing will be held in Tyke's honor at the
Driftwood Inn on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 1-4pm.
Memorials: Suggested to Raptor Recovery at Fontanelle Forest in Bellevue,
NE.
