Robert L. Donahoo

Donahoo, Robert L.
- 13 Sep 2015

Donahoo, Robert L. Age 90 Robert or "Big Bob" as his stepson would refer to him, passed peacefully at hospice on Sunday, September 13, 2015 from cardiac complications. Bob was a Nebraska boy through and through. Growing up and educated in Lincoln established the work and ethical foundation for a successful career with Western Electric and its subsidiaries. And yes, Bob was a Husker Fan....sometimes... Bob had numerous strengths and one of them was being humble. However, the one thing he would brag about was catching his wife, Fredine. To describe her as the love of his life would be an understatement. They were best, best friends. Routinely winning at Shanghai rummy, overpowering crossword puzzles, riding his bike at Zorinski Park, attempting the guitar – finally leaving it to his favorite musician, Chet Atkins, breakfast with his friends every Thursday, travel, family and church activities seemed to fill his retirement.

Bob left instructions to donate his body to the NE Anatomical Board for research purposes.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Fredine; beloved family: stepdaughter Cheryl Schemanski (Mike); stepson Hal Herron; sister Connie Caselton; nephew Mark Caselton (Cindy); granddaughter Kayci Herron and grandsons, Tony and Nicolas Labrioli and many great-grandchildren.

Services: Hope Presbyterian Church in Millard on Saturday, October 3, at 10:30 A.M. with Bob's longtime friend Pastor Dave Matsamura officiating.

Memorials: Suggest to Hope Presbyterian Church, in lieu of flowers.
