Samuel John Caniglia

Caniglia, Samuel John 'Sam'
4 Jul 1928 - 4 Sep 2016

Samuel passed away peacefully at the age of 88 surrounded by his family. He was a life-long resident of Omaha.

Sam is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty (Cimino) Caniglia; and by his 5 children, Steve Caniglia of Scottsdale AZ, Diane (Joe) Cortese of Des Moines IA, Mark (Pam) Caniglia of Omaha, Ron (Bonnie) Caniglia of Scottsdale AZ, and Rodney Caniglia of Naperville, IL. He was a loving grandfather to 12 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

Services: Friday, September 9, at 2 P.M. Mary Our Queen Catholic Church, 3405 S. 118th St. in Omaha.

Memorials: To the family, in lieu of flowers.


Sam retired, 23 Jan 1987.
