Dwain H. "Whitey" Buel

Whitey Buel, age 77, of Chandler, passed away on Oct. 15, 2012.

Whitey played basketball for the University of Nebraska, 1952-56, and was team captain his senior year. He worked many years in Omaha for Western Electric, later AT&T. After retiring to Chandler, he co-hosted a call-in golf show, "Bunker to Bunker," for several years on KMVP radio.

He is survived by his wife, Janet, sister, Cindy, two children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Services: Saturday Oct. 20, 10 a.m., Gethsemane Lutheran, 1035 E. Guadalupe Road, Tempe.

Memorials: Suggested to the church.
